Endocrine disorders are diseases of body internal glands that are homeostatic machinery of the body and when disordered, the body would lose its homeostasis and internal balance. Endocrine glands produce important hormones, e.g. insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, thyroid hormone, growth hormone, etc. These glands are vital for break down and carrying the nutrients to different parts and organs of the body, for our growth and survival. Therefore when these glands are diseased, our homeostasis, growth and survival is in danger!
